Ellie Kay ADHD & AuDHD Coach

  • ADHD & AuDHD Small Business & Leadership Coaching - I spent more than 20 years running businesses, managing teams and navigating all the highs, mistakes and challenges that come with working for yourself. One of my businesses reached a turnover of £1.8 million, so I understand the pressure of carrying responsibility while trying to manage an ADHD brain.
  • ADHD & AuDHD Career Coaching - My background includes more than 20 years in recruitment, which means I can also support you with career decisions, changing jobs, progressing at work, CVs, interviews and using LinkedIn more effectively.
  • ADHD & AuDHD Life Coaching - Work does not sit neatly apart from the rest of life. I have experienced cancer, infertility, divorce, remarriage, becoming a stepmum and perimenopause, so our coaching can include whatever is affecting your confidence, wellbeing, relationships or ability to move forward.

I'm Ellie Kay, Coach & Mentor for ADHD & AuDHD women.

As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD at 45, I know how much there can be to take in.

You look back over your life and suddenly so many things make sense. But it can also open a real can of worms.

Why did nobody notice it earlier?
Why is there still so much stigma around ADHD?
Why have I spent so many years thinking I was the problem?

Through coaching, we can discover and lean into your strengths while finding more realistic ways to navigate the parts of ADHD or AuDHD that make life harder.

Through coaching we can discover and lean into your personal strengths and look at better ways to navigate the tricky areas.

I work with women who are doing their best to hold everything together. From the outside they often look like they’re coping. They’ve built careers, run businesses, managed teams or spent years trying to keep everyone else happy. Inside they’re exhausted, overwhelmed and wondering why life seems harder for them than everyone else.

That was me too. I spent more than 20 years running recruitment businesses, managing teams and feeling as though I had to work twice as hard just to stay on top of everything.

Since then I’ve retrained as an ADHD coach and now spend my time helping women understand how their ADHD or AuDHD brain works, reduce the overwhelm, build confidence and create practical strategies that work in everyday life.

Many of the ADHD or AuDHD women I coach are late diagnosed or undiagnosed. Some run businesses or work in demanding leadership roles, while others are employees, students, mums, carers or trying to work out what comes next.

The common factor is that they want life to feel easier. They want to stop ending every day overwhelmed, exhausted or blaming themselves for everything they have not managed to do, and to reduce the guilt and shame they have carried for years.

Why work with me?

Coaching style:

My coaching is relaxed, honest and practical. There will probably be laughter and sometimes there might be tears. I don’t believe there’s one right way to do things, its about what works best for you.

I coach CEOs, directors, business owners, leaders, managers, employees, students and stay at home mums

Many of my clients are also autistic or dyslexic, or have dyspraxia, dyscalculia, OCD or Tourette’s. Some also experience anxiety or depression or have previously struggled with addiction.

And many are late diagnosed women who feel a lot of regret and anger at what life could have been like, had their diagnosis been recognised earlier.

"Working with Ellie was genuinely transformative for me. In just six sessions, she helped me move from an incredibly toxic and confidence-draining work environment into a role with exciting long-term potential.

What stood out most was her ability to balance practical career strategy with real emotional support. She helped me navigate and survive a very difficult situation while also rebuilding my confidence and reminding me of my value and strengths.

As an ADHD woman and mother, I also found her approach incredibly relatable and reassuring. She was warm, approachable and easy to talk to, while still being insightful, professional and highly effective. I never felt judged or overwhelmed. Instead I felt understood, supported and empowered to take action.

I can honestly say I would not have made this transition without her guidance, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone feeling stuck, burnt out or ready for something better."
Rebecca, Sales Exec

"Ellie has created a safe space where I've been comfortable to talk about absolutely anything that's been getting in the way of my progress at work and in general life. She's patient, knowledgeable and truly understands what it's like to be AuDHD. Since working with her I've massively improved my performance at work through simple fixes and have learned how to be kinder to myself as an ND parent." Beth, Mental Health Worker

'Her support meant everything to me; she celebrated each milestone with me and offered a listening ear on tough days.

With Ellie’s guidance, I picked up practical strategies for navigating challenges at work, dealing with conflict, coping with RSD, and even showing myself more compassion.

There were moments when I doubted myself, but Ellie’s encouragement helped me set achievable goals and stay focused. The tools and confidence I’ve gained from our sessions will stick with me for years to come."

 Samantha Ennis, Digital Manager

"Ellie has been a fantastic coach over a series of 12 sessions. I have gone from having lost all confidence to having a deeper understanding of myself, my strengths and challenges, and the support and culture I need to succeed in the workplace. Ellie has guided me from being a late-diagnosed ADHDr working in “the wrong room” to a confident, empowered expert in my field back in control of my career. Her coaching drove me forward at pace, equipped me with valuable tools to understand myself, held me accountable, validated my experiences and rebuilt my confidence. Highly recommended!"  Sarah, Marketing Manager

"I was really clear about what I needed when I started looking for an ADHD coach. I wanted a woman, with ADHD herself, who understood the reality of working in a fast paced, high pressure environment. Ellie met that and more.

When I found her, I was at a point where I genuinely felt like I was drowning. I was working constantly but still couldn’t keep up. It left me questioning myself completely: who I was as a practitioner and whether I was even good enough to support others and continue in my role. I felt genuinely broken.

Ellie just got it. There was no need to over explain or justify anything. Her openness in sharing her own journey, so honestly and without filters, made me feel understood in a way I had never experienced before. It helped me feel less alone and, more importantly, less like I was failing.

What has been most impactful is the coaching didn’t only focus on strategies (although those have been genuinely helpful, who knew you could sort emails by name and mass delete? Not me!!!). It has been about hearing real experiences, real challenges, and real ways of navigating them. That is what has stayed with me.

Ellie has supported me to pause, to park things when I need to (even when the injustice still burns), and to approach things differently without losing who I am. Her support has made more of a difference than she will probably ever realise." Rachael, Social Worker
